Short bibliography

I have a degree (laurea) in physics from Universtiy of Florence (Italy) and a MSc in Quantitative Finance from Bocconi University (Italy). After a professional experience in technology consulting and in investment banking, I embarked on an academic path in economics, with a MPhil and a PhD from the Tinbergen Institute and the University of Amsterdam (The Nethederlands).

Research interests

My research focuses on the modelling of complex economic systems and the emergent patterns arising from collective decision-making. Specifically, I formalise the concept of social tipping points – abrupt behavioural shifts originating from non-linear interactions within social structures. My work applies these frameworks to technological change, enviromental sustainability and financial markets. More fundamentally, I investigate the emergence of correlation among expectations and behaviours, and the mechanisms governing the evolution of preferences.
